Year 13 were thrilled with the arrival of their Leavers hoodies!

Congratulations to Pradip and Anisha on their Principal’s Pen awards!  Both of these students arrived late into St Paul’s with very little English and have become valuable, hardworking and model St Paul’s students.

Pradip has supported a number of new arrivals, helping them to negotiate the school timetable and geography and acting as an advocate for them when they have needed it.

Anisha found school exceptionally difficult when she first arrived, to the extent that she was too afraid to come to school for a number of weeks. Since then, she has grown in confidence, formed positive relationships with students and teachers alike and cheers us up every day with her happy, polite and friendly demeanour.

Thank you to Mrs Cartwright for the nominations.  She felt that they both deserved recognition for what they have achieved in view of the barriers that they have had to overcome and in light of that our Chaplain, Deacon Seamus awarded them a Caritas badge too!

Mrs Conaghan was delighted to award the following students with PE badges today:

Keaon – Consistently working hard throughout lockdown

Keaun – Excellent leadership shown in lessons

Shehan – Great attitude and work ethic

Angad – Excellent leadership and effort shown in lessons

Well done boys and thank you to Mr Aston for the nominations.

St Paul’s welcomed Fr Lim today to bless the new crucifix outside school.

‘Miss Coggins top three artists of the week’ for each of her year 8 classes.

The first two slides are continuous line drawings to help develop drawing skills by not taking the pen off the page,  the next two slides are artist studies of work by Franz Marc and the last two slides are colour wheels created with household items.

there were some super entries for the Year 7 Christmas Card competition.  After some very considerable deliberation, the panel, consisting of Mrs Conaghan, Deacon Seamus and our Head Boy, Dan and Head Girl, Munashe chose entries from Leo and Callum – both of 7L.

Here they are proudly standing alongside the display for Winners and Runners Up!

Selection Boxes are on their way to you!
