Congratulations to the following winners of the East Year 7 and Year 8 Competition:

The winning teams will now go through to represent East Leicester City at the Level 3 Finals on 24th March 2022, at Loughborough University, 13.30-16.30.

Early on a beautiful, cold and crisp November morning, 19 of our year 13s and 3 staff took to the streets on a ‘Walk for Refugees’. Our year 13s are learning about the plight of refugees and asylum seekers as part of their General RE programme, and 13P decided to support the work of ‘Save The Children’ by taking a sponsored walk in solidarity with those refugees and asylum seekers who walk for many thousands of miles to find safety and sanctuary. They raised £120. Well done 13P!

Look out for Jack in Yr 13 who will be appearing on Channel 4’s Countdown all this week.

No spoilers  as to how he got on but we understand he did himself and St Paul’s proud!

He met up with Mrs Conaghan to receive a Principal’s Pen.

We held our first Potions club for Years 7 and 8 this week!

The aim was to identify the suspect of a Harry Potter murder mystery – a great time was had by all!

Cruz in Yr 10 represented the Welsh Football Team versus the Slovakian Football Team. He created multiple chances for the team and would have had many assists if the team managed to score. The team came away with a draw and a loss in their first set of fixtures.

Cruz will represent the Welsh Team again versus Ireland in February.

Cruz has been an excellent asset to our own football at St Paul’s and we wish him all the best against Ireland. We are very proud of his achievements at International Level.

Thank you to the Good News For Everyone Society (Formerly known as The Gideon Society) for their gift of the New Testament to all our Year 7 and 8 pupils. Thanks to Jim who has been a faithful supporter of our school for leading our liturgies.
