We are looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 parents to our Parents Information event this evening

Presentation from key staff will start at 5:10pm so please arrive in time to sign in and be seated.

This is a parent only event and we ask for a maximum of 2 parents to attend.

We pray for our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV

We pray for the ministry of our new Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV: may the Lord bless him and fill him with the grace and power of the Holy Spirit.

Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.

Let us pray for Pope Leo XIV as he begins his Petrine Ministry: that he may help to build bridges between communities and nations, bringing the love of Christ to all people.

Lord, in your mercy: hear our prayer.

As Pope Leo XIV accepts the Lord’s will to become the successor of Saint Peter, may he always be open to whatever the Lord asks of him, feeding the lambs and sheep of Christ’s flock.

Lord hear us: Lord, graciously hear us.

Mr. Ostler, our school Sustainability Lead and members of our School Council, planting Wildflower seeds and Beebombs.  We are excited to watch the seeds and plants grow over the coming weeks and months, helping to make our school grounds look beautiful!

Huge thanks and appreciation to Coles Garden Centre who very kindly donated the seeds and growbags.

Today we celebrated our wonderful Year 11 and Year 13 students. Rev. Fr. Michael Moore and Deacon Seamus, celebrated a mass for each year group, alongside their form tutors, Heads of Year and Mrs. Conaghan.

The theme across both masses was one of thanks – students thanking and acknowledging form tutors with such admiration and gratitude and likewise, teaching staff, thanking their form/year group, with heartfelt emotion and praise for their hard work, inspiration and brightening their day.

Our Year 11’s received a ‘pen’, blessed by Fr. Michael as they embark on their written GCSE exams next week.  Our Year 13’s received a ‘feather’, blessed by Fr. Michael for when they embark on their next ‘life’ chapter and spread their wings away from St. Paul’s, upon completion of their A Level exams.

We keep both year groups in our prayers during the upcoming exam period.

A very successful training day (1.5.25) and all happy to have pizza and chips for dinner! Qualifying 2-day expedition starts today (2.5.25). This is where the hard work begins.
DofE Bronze Training Expedition – day 1
Our students and staff set off for the Bronze DofE expedition on the hottest day of the year so far! Tents are up and they are off on a training walk and an exemplary single file technique.

Our students have been learning about how a new Pope is selected.

When the Pope dies, the new leader of the Catholic Church is chosen through a papal conclave – a meeting of the College of Cardinals, which is made up of senior church officials from around the world.

Of the 252 Cardinals, 135, all aged under 80, gather in the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican City where they take an oath of secrecy, about the proceedings.  The process of electing a new Pope, can take days and a candidate will need the support of 90 Cardinals to become Pope.

In forms, students have embraced the opportunity to ‘Adopt a Cardinal’ to pray for them, that the Holy Spirit, will help them to make their decision and to vote wisely.

If you wish to ‘Adopt a Cardinal’ visit Adopt a Cardinal – Pray for the College of Cardinals

A group of Year 10 students focused and working hard, taking full advantage of the glorious sunshine!

Our annual Faculty ‘marketplace’ took place this week, with Heads of Departments sharing examples of work, planning, achievements and next steps with our school Governors.
