Mr Fowell has been shortlisted for an award in the following category: Award for teacher dedication to schools’ football at the recent nominations for the English Schools’ FA’s Reward & Recognition Awards.

A huge number of nominations were received Nationally, in this category, and the organisers have shortlisted Mr Fowell’s achievements to one of 8 nominees.

‘Award for teacher dedication to schools’ football’

An award designed to recognise those teachers who go above and beyond their paid duties to ensure schools’ football opportunities are available to their pupils. This is an opportunity for recognition for teachers who go ‘above and beyond’ the call of duty to ensure their pupils are receiving extra-curricular footballing opportunities

Mr Fowell has been formally invited to attend the awards ceremony in June at Villa park.

We are really proud of Y12 student Venus who went up against Y13 students nationally and achieved the Silver Award in the Chemistry Olympiad Competition. What an amazing achievement!

We are so proud of our three St Paul’s students who represented our school at the St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Multi-Academy Trust Public speaking competition that was held today.

Dhruv won the Junior title with his passionate speech: Leicester: The beauty and richness of the city we love.

Davidzo won the Senior title with a fantastic speech: Body Image, The impact social media has on teenage girls.

Finally, Caragh won the senior ‘best speech’ award: Why feminism is still needed in the world.

Public speaking is a life-long skill that will be invaluable to students in their future education and careers, as well as boosting self confidence, improving persuasion and influencing skills and also devloping critical thinking.

Well done Dhruv, Davidzo and Caragh – we are so proud of you!

We’re all about sharing and collaboration and last night’s curriculum showcase which involved subject leaders and governors was an opportunity for teachers to showcase their subjects. It was a fantastic evening!
