Email sent out from Mr Aston:

Dear Parents/Carers

Due to year 11 assessments that are taking place in the sports hall, we run three weeks of cross country training, finishing with an inter house competition in the third week of the training. Students will therefore need to wear their school uniform to school rather than their PE kit. Students will then get changed in the changing rooms as we will be using the field rather than indoor facilities.

On the weeks commencing  23rd November, 30th November and 7th December students in Year 7, 8 and 9 will need to wear school uniform on their PE days and bring their PE kit with them in a bag.

I would advise that students also bring:

  • a small hand towel
  • a wet flannel or wipes in a sandwich bag
  • football boots or an old pair of trainers.

It can get very muddy so these items would make things much easier for the students.

If students cannot do PE due to injury or returning from an illness they will need their PE kit and a note explaining why they cannot do the lesson. If they do not have a letter they will be sanctioned with a 30 minute detention
