What is your New Year’s Resolution? Be more eco-friendly? Recycle more? Save energy?

Help the environment and raise money for St. Paul’s Environment club!

Eco RECO, St Paul’s Environment Club, have just started a new recycling campaign! We are collecting used pens and non-savoury biscuit wrappers. These items cannot usually be recycled and would normally be send to landfill, we are collecting these items and sending them to be recycled. See below for more information:

Used pens – any used/broken pen will be accepted – highlighters, biros, mechanical pencils, marker pens etc. Please bring the pens in and either place them in the collection box in reception or give them to your form tutor.

Non-savoury biscuit wrappers – any brand of non-savoury biscuit wrappers. Please bring the biscuit wrappers in and place them in the collection bin in reception or give them to your form tutor.

All of the items above will be sent to a company called Terracycle, who will either upcycle the items or will recycle the items and will donate money to the school.

Eco RECO will use the money raised with the recycling to improve the recycling facilities at school and to build an insect hotel to increase biodiversity within the school grounds.
