Romeo & Juliet Trip

“On Wednesday 6th March, the English faculty led a Year 10 trip to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London. 44 students enjoyed an interesting RSC interpretation of “Romeo and Juliet” with a female Tybalt and a wicked twist on the “king of cats” epithet.

Just being in the reconstructed Globe theatre was a highlight of the trip, and really brought alive the idea of Shakespeare’s plays as entertainment for the ordinary men and women of his time.

The occasion was made all the more pleasurable by the great behaviour of all the students who represented the school admirably”
