St Paul’s is co-ordinating a newly formed network representing 12 city secondary and special schools. Network members will support their schools in developing staff digital literacy in relation to copyright and the creation and use of electronic resources, building on the council’s work on open educational resources (OER). They will also provide support for other BSF and primary schools across the city who want to develop their work around the use, creation and sharing digital resources.

On the 10th of September, St. Paul’s Catholic School joined the growing list of schools in Leicester who have adopted an OER policy.  This gives their staff permission to share work under a Creative Commons license and promotes Open Education amongst staff, pupils and stakeholders.

Please read more on the group’s website.

We will be celebrating our Year 9 Feast Day, in honour of St Michael, the Archangel, on Friday 2 October.  Year 9 students are allowed to wear non-uniform, for which we ask for a £1 donation towards our Ghana 2016 fundraising.  Money will be collected during form time.  During period 4, we will celebrate our Feast Day Liturgy together.

May I take this opportunity to wish you all the blessings of the Feast.

Uniform Update

We apologise for the problems we are experiencing with school uniform orders at the moment. The company we use have been experiencing problems over the summer due to a new computer system they have had installed, which has resulted in delays, mainly with blazers. They have assured us that this is not their normal practice and that all is now sorted and they are working hard to get all stock out to us as soon as possible. Teachers have been advised of which students are still awaiting uniform.

We are expecting another delivery next week and will endeavour to get orders out to students as soon as this arrives.

Thank you for your patience.

data collection

Data Collection Sheets have been given out to students this week.

Can you please check and amend accordingly and then return to the school office as soon as possible, to enable us to keep our records up-to-date.

If you do not have any changes, can you still please sign and return to the office so that we know the forms have been checked.

Thank you.
